There is no fixed timeline for receiving an EXO number from the Maltese VAT Department, as processing times may vary. Based on our experience, the EXO number application process can in some extreme cases take up to a month but on average it can be done in less than two weeks. 

If a business changes its address, will it need a new EXO number and Zoho Supplier's Certificate?

Based on our discussions with the Maltese VAT Department, if your business address changes from the one specified in your original EXO number application, you will need to reapply for a new EXO number. However, we are happy to provide a new Zoho Books Supplier's Certificate at no additional cost.
